Don is amazing! My husband and I used him for our wedding since neither one of us dance and we were nervous about the first dance. So glad we went!! He came up with an awesome choreographed first dance for us that looked incredible the day of. We had so many compliments from people. On top of looking good on our wedding day, our lessons were always so much fun. It became a date night for us and was a good way to relieve the stress of the wedding planning. I felt like it was a really good bonding experience for us. And Don is so much fun to work with. He would have us cracking up every time we were there. We actually intend on continuing lessons with him now the wedding is over because we found a new hobby for us.

Due to our hectic schedules and the short time before our wedding, we were initially hesitant to take dance classes. However, after speaking with Don on the phone for the first time, I knew it would be an incredible experience for us. I cannot rave enough about my husband and I’s experience working with Don at Volta. We did solo lessons for our first dance. He was able to design and teach us the dance with every element we had been dreaming of, even a lift! He is so positive and fun to work with. We are planning on going back for classes as well! I would recommend volta to absolutely anyone. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

We planned a head and spent about a year with Don before our wedding! This was an amazing experience, full of fun, laughter, and because we had so many lessons, literally no stress! Don did an amazing job choreographing our first dance, and EDM song, and even learned to shuffle so he could teach us how for our dance!!

Don is fantastic! He worked out a schedule to meet our last minute needs. During our lesson, he adjusted steps to accommodate our limitations and alleviate stress. He was SUPER positive and helpful in creating a dance which suited our personalities. He made the experience fun as opposed to being a chore. I absolutely recommend him/Volta Dance Studio to couples that need a place to learn some moves in a relaxed, enthusiastic atmosphere. You won't go wrong.

No matter what level dance experience you have Don has got you covered. My fiancé and I don’t have rhythm, but he showed us how to move our hips and keep with the beat. Don was amazing at teaching us with how we learn best. Each class was tailored to what we needed and he didn’t mind having to show me multiple times how to nail the moves. It’s like a fun date night. We did 20 classes to have a choreographed first dance for our wedding and even got to learn some other dance styles along the way. We highly recommend Volta Dance and can’t wait to come back to learn more.

Absolutely love Don! we knew we wanted to work with him from the first phone call. He called me and my husband asking us about the dance we wanted to do and what to expect. We signed up for 16 classes and he was super flexible working with us. My husband can't dance and he put together a very amazing dance that my husband could do. Everyone at our wedding loved the dance and said it looked like a fairytale. 15/10 recommend. Volta Dance is definitely worth the drive.

We came to Don in hopes of avoiding just swaying back & forth on our 1st dance together. I have no sense of rhythm at all, but Don helped us get a routine together in less than 3 weeks. Everyone loved our dance, and if he can teach me how to dance he can teach a cardboard box to dance! Thank you so much Don!

Don was absolutely great! We wanted to mix a slow and a fast song together for our First Dance and Don was totally there for it. He taught us so much and it was always a lot of fun going to dance class. He met us where we were with dance skills and built on that with Waltz and Swing moves for both songs. We would highly recommend Volta Dance for anyone wanting any lessons or for weddings dances specifically!

My husband and I love dancing at Volta Dance Studio! It has been a wonderful experience! We have enjoyed the relaxed, layed back atmosphere. Everyone is welcome and can come just as they are. There is no pretentiousness. It's very comfortable while also very professional. Your focus can be casual for social dance settings or specific for an upcoming event, as well as to move into more advanced levels of dancing. I really appreciate the flexibility Volta allows which most studios don't afford their students! We're not forced to buy packages to get to where we want. We can do whatever we want to do in our private lessons. I'm so grateful for this! Group lessons have been a been a great way to meet people. The instructors keep the classes fun and everyone has been supportive of each other. We laugh a lot during group classes. We just love our private instructor, Don! His experience has made him immensely skilled and knowledgeable. But what we probably appreciate most is his ability to discern the ways we learn individually. He is also very patient, supportive, and encouraging. During the times we have taken private lessons from the other instructors, we found it helpful to learn from their different perspectives. Every instructor at Volta is friendly, skilled, and professional. Besides the health and social benefits of dancing at Volta, it has been beneficial to our marriage. We have grown closer as different aspects of dancing has helped us learn to communicate better, to feel more connected to each other, and to garner a sense of togetherness as my husband and I have worked as a team to improve. If you're interested, the instructors at Volta will help you too, to deepen your relationship with your significant other through dance. We love Volta dance studio and our instructor, Don so much that as we've looked into moving to a different house, we've kept the studio's location in mind because we don't want to get too far from it. However, it will be worth the drive to continue to patron Volta. Dancing is a fun way to exercise. Not only does it provide cardio, but it builds strength and stamina. However, that's not the only thing dancing builds. It builds confidence, helps us to stay youthful, and is a effective stress reliever. Dancing at Volta is serving as a wonderful outlet for us to shake off and momentarily forget about the cares of life! 💃🕺

Taking dance lessons with Volta is one of the best activities for couples out there. It's a date night every week! They are great at breaking down difficult concepts and altering the lessons to fit your needs even if your needs change over time. Don and Diana are wonderful instructors. I had the joy of being their student for about 9 months in 2020. They put together wonderful choreography for both my first dance with my husband and my father/daughter dance. They were very thorough and diligent with their teachings and safety particularly during the pandemic. They were also very accommodating considering the changes the previous year brought. The experience was well worth the price which I also felt was very fair. They engaged both my now husband and father which neither had ever had any real dance experience and my husband had a significant amount of apprehension to start. They made him comfortable which I greatly appreciated. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them and their studio.

We are both in our eighties, but still have good health, so why not. We contacted Don at Volta for an introductory lesson. We were very impressed with Don's professionalism and knowledge of the basics we need. We signed up for twenty lessons. Don has been very patient with us as we slowly grasp the basics of the Box Step and Fox Trot. We are having fun and Don makes it a pleasant experience. Kelly Knoop - Volta Dance Company has been a game changer for my daughter. We have searched high and low for something that sparks passion within her. We are thrilled to say we have finally found it! Don and Diana are amazing teachers who not only teach the steps and techniques, they also make each student feel special. My daughter went into the first class questioning if she would even like it. As we walked out of the studio she couldn’t wait to tell me how much she loved dancing. She has taken jazz, ballet and hip hop before but nothing ever sparked her interest like this. We signed up for a workshop (4 days, 3 hours a day) which instantly hooked my daughter. Now she wants to dance everyday for a minimum of three hours a day.

The introductory lesson is $95 for up to 2 dancers. Both in-studio and virtual lessons are available!
💍Wedding Couples: We recommend starting your first lesson 3 to 6 months, or even a year before your wedding. To learn a fully choreographed dance, give yourself at least 6 months to prepare. The more time you put in, the better you look!
